Severe Nodular Acne

Do you have severe nodular acne? Have you tried several treatments including antibiotics, but they never seem to clear up your skin? Have you ever thought of taking a pill like Accutane to help your acne? Dr. Leonard Swinyer and Dr. Douglas Woseth have an investigational research opportunity for you to consider that may decrease your severe nodular acne. The Dermatology Research Center is looking for people age 12 and over with severe nodular acne to take part in a research study testing an approved pill versus and investigational pill for the treatment of severe nodular acne.

You may qualify if:

  • You are 12 years of age or older
  • You have ten or more nodular acne lesions on your face or trunk
  • You are in good general health
  • You are a female who is not pregnant, nursing or planning pregnancy and who agrees to use birth control

This is a 24 week study with an additional screening visit. There are up to 9 clinic visits. All study related clinic visits, lab work and medication are at no cost. Compensation is given if you qualify.
